We bought our farm in 2003. Our sheep arrived the following summer, a starter flock of eight animals. The farm has needed a great deal of work – pastures to reseed and recondition; fencing to replace; the historic barn, built in the early 1900s, needed many repairs to stabilize and weatherize it; the old 1890s farmhouse has been in need of major rehabilitation. We have worked, and continue to work, to bring our farm back to life. It has been a labor of love, and we enjoy looking at the many improvements we have been able to accomplish.
We are located in Fabius, New York, about 25 minutes south of the city of Syracuse. Our farm is surrounded by beautiful hills, parks, hiking trails, and ski areas.
Our animals include our flock of almost 50 sheep, our Icelandic sheep dog Mikko, and our two guardian Great Pyrenees, Sasha and Ranger. We also have two wonderful sons, Nathaniel and Matthew, who have graduated from college and are off pursuing their own dreams.
We welcome visitors to our farm – call us to arrange to see our flock.
